What is Integrative Nutrition?
Integrative nutrition is about more than just the food on your plate - it is the mind, body connection and how other areas of our lives affect our overall health. Health is holistic and extends into all aspects of an individual. You can be eating a very healthy diet, but factors such as poor quality sleep or chronic stress may be preventing you from achieving the results you’re seeking.
Holistic Approach
Wellness is rooted in bio-individuality - the idea that what works for one person may not work for another, as everyone has a different genetic makeup and has different needs that can change over time. With my clients, I take a whole body, holistic approach to coaching that works for the individual to figure out what your body needs to operate at an optimal level. I don’t believe in strict diets or eating perfectly. I guide my clients in managing stress levels, getting enough movement and eating balanced meals to keep blood sugar regulated and support hormone function.
From the processed food we eat, to our cleaning and personal care products, we are constantly being exposed to toxins, endocrine disrupters, pesticides, harmful oils, etc., which can lead to inflammation, poor sleep, fertility issues, obesity, and disease. It may not be realistic to rule all of these harmful agents out, but I assist my clients in making the best possible choices for their lifestyle, as well as implementing new habits to live a healthier life.
